The Hodge Family

Welcome Back
Good morning my lovelies,
As some of you may or may not have seen, I've shut down my Facebook for an undetermined amount of time. There were a couple reasons for this. Firstly, several issues have come to light with teachers being written up or even fired for what gets posted on their Facebook. Many of these instances were brought about because a friend posted something political or offending in some way. Apparently you can get in hot water for what others write? Secondly, with the upcoming election season upon us I felt it necessary to turn a blind eye to the posts of others regarding religion and politics. I don't want a political view or religious affiliation to cause a rift between myself and dear friends. Yes, of course this is their first amendment right and I would still encourage my friends to speak freely and openly of their views, but I will not be participating. So, to curb any problems before they start I've decided to use this blog as a way to update others about the goings on of my family. I know many of you, especially family, would check this blog when Evan was younger as I would post pictures and updates. It seemed like a great way to keep myself available to my out of town family and friends without the issues I have with Facebook right now. I will try my best to post often so I hope you will check back with us from time to time. I love you all truly.

Birthday Pool Party
Evan and his best buddy Jack enjoy some silly boy time in the pool for Evan's birthday! I love how they start counting at the end. They're so smart. :)
Happy 2nd Birthday Evan
We had a bunch of family and friends over yesterday for Evan's birthday party. We had a pool and sprinkler set up for the kids to play. They all had a ball. Evan is currently in toy heaven from all of the fun things he got yesterday. Oddly, or not so oddly, the first thing he went after this morning was the leftover balloons. My little man is growing up!
