My 2 cents

So I have been giving a lot of thought lately to the women you see on discovery channel every once in a while who went to have a baby never knowing they were pregnant. I don't see how this is possible. There are random pains, some pretty severe, barfing, food aversions and cravings, oh yeah and watching your belly move as if an alien is in there. How the heck could they not realize what was going on!? If they didn't think they could be pregnant then surely they thought they must have some strange disease that needed a doctor's attention at which point they probably would have been given a pg test based on their symptoms. I just don't see how this is possible. Crazy. Okay vent over.

May 7th ish??????

So I just got back from my monthly appt. which will now become every 2 week appt. until the end. The doctor moved my due date from May18th to May13th. I asked about when they would induce and he said 39weeks which would be around May 7th. That is only like 2 months from now. Crap. I am soooo not ready. We better get crackin' around the house. Oh yeah and I have to get stuff filled out at work too. off to cry now. lol

Registry

Jesse and I finally finished our gift registries. We did one at Target and one at Walmart. The whole process in very overwhelming because I don't know what the heck we need for a baby. I can barely keep the animals clean and fed. Thanks to Megan and my mom for looking over them to make sure I was not missing anything major. Although, I am still at a total loss as to what kinds of bottles to register for since I will try to breastfeed. ??? Oh well, I go on Friday for my glucose tolerance test to make sure that I am not developing gestational diabetes. (routine test) If I fail that one, then they give me a 3 hour test. If I fail the 3 hour, then I am put on a strict diet and insulin if needed. I hope to hell not because I already have to shoot up twice a day, I would hate to have to take more injections, I feel like a pin cushion every day. They will also measure the baby again since he was measuring ahead last month. (big baby) I hope they are wrong. I mean I want a big strong baby, but not looking forward to pushing out a larger than average child. eeek. Love you all!

So it's 10:30 at night and I have been watching my belly move for an hour. Baby Hodge is having a rave in there I think. I'm hungry and trying to decide what to eat. Rambling I know...I'll go now. Have a good weekend everybody!

Appt. today

I have my monthly appt this afternoon. I am a little worried since I have a feeling I probably gained some weight this month. It was bound to happen, but they have been so happy with my current lack of weight gain. Also, I am going to try and get an induction time frame from the doctor so I can make tentative plans at work. I am hoping it is a late as possible since the school year goes until May 29th. I will update later if I get any news. (I better not have to wait and hour and a half this time to see the OB, that was insane.)

Update: So I got yelled at for losing 2 pounds, whatever, I know I've gained at least according to my scale at home. Maybe it was working all day and not eating much. Also, he said that the baby was measuring big. So I guess we have a fat ass baby. They'll measure again next time and order another ultrasound if needed. Baby needs a diet I guess. BTW Happy birthday Dad!!!

2 things I love

I love that when I sit down and play piano the baby starts moving and kicking.
I love that I have a mystery inside of me...what will he be like, who will he look like, etc.
Thanks, just wanted to post my randomness. We go today at 4:00 to have our 3-D ultrasound so hopefully I will get pics on here later this evening.
