My Apologies

I have been a terrible blogger for the past several weeks. I have never gone this long between updates. This time of year is crazy in the life of a music teacher. Parades, concerts, fundraisers, more concerts, recitals, you name it have made the past month an insane race to the finish. I'm finally done minus a Kindergarten show this week. I have many pictures and videos to share and I promise to get them up this week. In the meantime, here is a pic of Evan helping me to do laundry this morning. Notice that he is standing! My little boy is getting big and it makes me happy and sad at the same time. I hope you're all well and smiling!

Happy Anniversary to Dave and Megan

Dave and Megan celebrated their 6th anniversary tonight. We all went to the Bacco Wine Cafe in Suntree. The food was amazing and I loved the wine which is odd for me because I usually hate wine. I'm a beer kind of gal myself. Here are a couple quick pics from this evenings festivities.

Evan is currently in teething hell, or I should say we are. He's trying daily to sit up on his own. He rolls over constantly and has found his voice. I love him to pieces, but I wish he'd quit growing so quickly. I miss my teeny 6 pound baby. Guess we'll just have to have another one. (not for a long time and after we win the lottery though)

I decided to have a little photo shoot last night. Evan is quickly approaching 4 month!!!! How the heck did that happen? We take him to the doctor for his checkup on the 26th. I just realized I look cross eyed in my last pic. Oh well. Hope you all are having a great week. T-minus 2 days until Rachel is in the 321 and I am staring at her face.

I'm a bad blogger

Now that I am back to work, I have not had much time to work on the blog. I will still try to post videos and pics on the weekends. Going back pretty much sucks. I hate only having a few hours with Evan in the evenings. So is the life of a working mom. It just makes me treasure the time we have together even more. One more thing before I get back to work, Evan laughed the other day. He laughed at me several times in the car when I was fake sneezing. It was adorable. We have not been able to get him to do it since, but when I can I will get video.

Stupid tear duct

So, Evan has a blocked tear duct which is fairly common according to the pediatrician, but it looks terrible. My cute baby has a jacked up eye! He looks like he's gone a few rounds in the ring this morning as it is swollen. I am going to call the pedi back in a little bit because of the swelling. I hope they don't want me to come in as I don't have a car today. Stupid eye.
Update: We went to the pedi and it turns out he was having a bad reaction to the eye ointment that was supposed to be helping him. (go figure) So, we are onto medicine number 2. Jesse now calls Evan Cyclops.

Bumbo

We have this "chair" that someone got for Evan called the Bumbo. It props babies up once they can hold their heads up. We put him in it after his bath today. He's wearing a robe for the first time. Here are the pics.

Father's Day Pics

For Father's Day I did a little photo shoot with Evan. He pretty much hated it, but I got some good shots which I put in a frame. We also had a little BBQ with Tiff and Jesse's dad. We played croquet and lawn darts, it was fun...hot (heat index 109), but fun.
