Evan Update

Good morning my loves,
I am on spring break with a little extra time so I figured I should do an Evan update. I can't believe he is almost 2. Strangers think he is 3 due to his height, he's a tall boy! Our big boy is now sleeping in his toddler bed. He had escaped a few times from his crib so we knew it was time. We only had one rough night and other than that he has transitioned really well.
Evan has been "talking" up a storm. He jabbers constantly with real words sprinkled in throughout. It is actually really funny. He can now tell me when he is hungry, thirsty, or needs a diaper change. Very helpful I must say.
He has a fearless fascination with water, so we will need to get him some swimming lessons this summer. He is also obsessed with the dog. As soon as pull out of the driveway he is shouting "Bye puppy!" and when we turn on to our street to return he is talking about the dog.
Overall his is doing well. We are struggling with the occasional tantrum when things don't go his way. We are mostly doing time outs and if he doesn't take his time out then he gets a swat on the butt. It breaks my heart so I am always glad when he goes to time out without a fit.
Evan made my heart swell with pride the other day when we heard him singing for the first time. Obviously I sing to him all the time, so to hear him making his own music brought tears to my eyes. He is my everything and I can't imagine our lives without him.
